This bait is best used on a size 14 or smaller hook and fished weightless using a BFS (Bait Finesse System) setup or SFS (Spin Finesse System). In testing we could easily cast this lure 20ft using our Finesse Braid in 4LB and 6LB on a Kast King Kestrel SFS reel and our "Hickory Twig" UL rod.

You can also fish this using a float to get further casting distance or even fish it on a jig or cheb setup.

In the heart of the Appalachian hills, where the mist lingers in the hollows and the rivers sing their timeless songs, folks tell of the legendary Skeeter Hawk. This dragonfly, with wings that shimmered like moonlight on a summer's eve, was said to be the guardian of the mountain streams. Old-timers whispered that the Skeeter Hawk, no bigger than a thumb, could outwit even the wiliest mosquito, swooping and darting through the air with a grace that seemed almost magical. According to the tales spun around crackling campfires, the Skeeter Hawk was born from the tears of a lonely mountain sprite, who wept for the children bitten by the relentless mosquitoes. Touched by her sorrow, the spirit of the mountain gave life to the dragonfly, a tiny knight in shining armor, to patrol the skies and bring peace to the weary folk below. Ever since, whenever a dragonfly flits by, the people of Appalachia smile, knowing their tiny protector, the Skeeter Hawk, is watching over them.
