The Rapido 10.8ft is the longest solo modular kayak in the Reel Yaks lineup — and at 10.8ft, you feel the difference on the water. Faster, straighter tracking, better efficiency over long distances. Ideal for anglers covering big lakes, open bays, or longer paddles to remote spots. And yes, it still breaks into two sections that fit in your car boot without a roof rack.
Built for open water and distance. At 10.8ft, the Rapido is the performance upgrade for anglers who fish big water. You cover more ground with less effort, hold a line in crosswind better, and arrive at your spot with energy to fish — not just paddle. The fin drive keeps you moving quietly and efficiently, hands-free.
Built-in transducer mount. The Rapido has a transducer mount recess in the hull — drop in a compatible transducer without drilling. Route wiring through the scupper holes and you have a full electronics setup for reading structure and depth on big water.
Same modular promise. Despite being the longest solo model, the Rapido breaks into two sections that fit in a mid-size car boot. No roof rack. No wall rack. No garage. Stores in an apartment and assembles in 5 minutes at the launch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the Rapido for?
The Rapido is the upgrade path for anglers who've outgrown shorter kayaks and fish big open water — large lakes, coastal bays, wide rivers. The longer hull is noticeably faster and more efficient, making it worth the extra length for serious distance anglers.
Will 10.8ft still fit in my car?
Yes. The two-section design keeps each piece compact enough for most mid-size SUV and hatchback boots. No roof rack required.
How does it compare to the Radar and Recon?
The Rapido is the longest and fastest of the three. Radar (10ft) is the most popular all-rounder. Recon (10ft) adds the built-in transducer mount that the Rapido also has. Rapido (10.8ft) is the performance option for open water and distance fishing.
