The Tadler - BFS Soft Plastic Finesse Lure for Bass Fishing

The Tadler is an ultralight BFS finesse bait hand-poured in Texas by WM Bayou. Maximum action in a minimal profile — it imitates small baitfish, tadpoles, or aquatic insects for pressured bass that won't commit to bigger presentations. Designed to float. $4.99.

How do you rig the Tadler?

Ned rig (1/16–1/8 oz mushroom head, 1/0 short-shank hook — the primary rig), drop shot (nose-hooked, 6–10 inches off bottom), finesse Texas rig (1/16 oz bullet, 1/0 EWG for light cover), or micro jighead (1/32–1/16 oz in clear open water). Fish it on ultralight spinning or a BFS baitcaster with 4–8 lb line — BFS tackle lets you put sub-1/8 oz baits exactly where they need to be.

When does the Tadler outperform other baits?

Winter and cold water, the day or two after a cold front, ultra-clear lakes where bass inspect every detail, and dock posts or precise structure targets that need BFS accuracy. It's also a consistent producer for spotted bass on Ozark-style finesse lakes.

What colors does it come in?

Oil Slick, Green Pumpkin, Guacamole, Chartreuse, Night Sky, June Bug, Watermelon Red, Black and Blue. $4.99. Match water clarity to color intensity — cleaner water, more natural color.
