Materials: 80% alpaca, 20% acrylic.
Measures: approx. 75 x 24"; 8 ounces
Care: Gentle machine in laundry bag or hand wash and rinse cold, using light detergent. Line/air dry. Drying in dryer for 5-10 minutes will add to fluff. If ironing desired, iron on low.
In 2013 we traveled to Ecuador seeking all things alpaca. These shawls are a result of that "Alpaca Vacation". They are made in a tiny factory by a family outside of the indigenous town of Otovalo in Ecuador. Most people are unaware of the small but thriving alpaca industry in Ecuador. Otovalo in particular is known for its indigenous alpaca fiber artists and long proud fabric history.
